This is the question:
9. What are demographics? Why is it important in determining market segmentation in the US?
Base on the judgments and what we’ve learnt today, demographics is known as the study of the statistical characteristics of a population. The meaning of that is a study on the gender, age, income earned and community needs for a company from a customer or house hold. It is important because in the United States or US there’s a wide gap of ages, gender of populated people living there, random income earned by each household, and big community of people living under one roof. Therefore, with the study of demographics, each company can target the specific items that is needed to be sold to a certain area. The age and gender of a located brick-and-mortar provided is also important due to the release of items or products to gain the highest or most profitable income for a company. For an example, Selling a product at a high price where there is too much teenagers at a community can cause a major lost of investment for a specific company which has build a shop lot there. An example of a demographical brick-and-mortar would be the all famous 7-11stall, where there are more then hundreads of stalls in almost all areas due to the reasonable pricing for each item and the convenience of getting the products.
